American Redwood (Sequoia) RAW EDGE (C) Table Top Bar Top Reclaimed Timber
Located 140km northwest of Melbourne (VIC), in the heart of the Victorian Goldfields, lays Maldon. Maldon is a town that has retained an authentic pioneer-like appearance with the history of the gold-mining era being preserved. The township and surrounding forests abound with remnants of the gold mining past, beautiful seasonal wildflowers and comfortable historic and scenic walking trails.
In Maldon there is the Maldon Museum. On their grounds grew this beautifully coloured Redwood (Sequoia), hailing from California’s Coast. A few years ago there was concern that this Redwood was going to fall and hurt someone, so it was felled and now this comes to you to create what you wish with a piece of history!
Have not been able to ascertain if this tree was already growing in the gardens when the Malden Museum was established, but it definitely appears that it is very old. So old, it’s ‘Older Than Your Nana!’
All these pieces are fully seasoned (dried) and can be used straight away for your projects.
This listing is for the edge piece, which has beautiful characteristics. Perfect for a feature slim table, hall table, coat rack … limited only by your imagination!
