Burnt Side Redgum Feature Centrepiece 100% Reclaimed Aussie Timber
This piece comes from a Redgum stump that was salvaged in 2015 from a farm in Flowerdale, in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, Victoria Australia. The tree was cut down as it posed a threat to the kid’s cubby house. The charred edge was due to a fire that was started by one of the kids when they played outside. One of only a few pieces from that stump, it has been prepared on both sides so that you will enjoy both working surfaces (reversible).
All our pieces are unique and no two pieces are ever the same. You can be confident in knowing that your piece, like you, is unique and not like any other.
What you see here is the actual piece you will receive. PLEASE NOTE: This is not to be used as a chopping board. This is natural edged piece of timber and as such it will develop lines and grooves on the surface in time. This is due to the fact that the circular nature of the timber lends itself to contracting and expanding at different speeds and amounts. This character adds beauty to this centerpiece but is an important consideration should you choose to make this purchase.
